Policy Development Specialist (Compliance)
Summary:
The Policy Development Specialist (Compliance) is responsible for researching, drafting, standardizing, and maintaining corporate governance documents, policy frameworks, and operational guidelines. This position ensures organizational alignment, legal compliance, internal controls, and operational efficiency across all business units within the group.
The position objective is to translate intricate regulatory requirements, crossfunctional workflows, and corporate strategies into clear, actionable, and enforceable documentation that mitigates risk and strengthens internal
governance.

The Specialist handles high-impact policy design—such as financial controls and risk management guidelines—requiring independent analytical judgment.
Incomplete research, policy ambiguities, or outdated governance documents can lead to statutory non-compliance, operational inefficiencies, internal control breakdowns, and heightened legal or financial risk exposure for the organization.

Responsibilities:
Policy Drafting & Governance:

Designs, drafts, and standardizes formal policies, procedures, workflows, and frameworks across financial, operational, and administrative departments.

Translates complex operational workflows and regulatory mandates into clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Research & Gap Analysis:

Audits current internal practices against statutory regulations, legal requirements, and industry best practices to identify risk exposure and policy gaps.

Conducts independent research on evolving financial controls, governance models, and regulatory updates.
Rollout & Change Management:

Creates clear implementation plans, communication materials, and training resources to ensure seamless adoption of new finance and operational guidelines across the organization.

Partners with department heads to facilitate change management and address operational concerns during policy rollouts.
Review & Compliance Monitoring:

Establishes systematic review schedules, manages policy version control, and monitors compliance through internal control checks and periodic policy audits.

Maintains centralized, secure physical and digital archives of all active and legacy corporate governance documents.
Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline. Knowledge: Deep understanding of corporate governance, internal controls, statutory compliance, tax documentation, and financial workflows

Experience: 3 to 5+ years of experience in policy formulation, corporate governance, legal compliance, internal audit, or quality management systems (e.g., ISO). Prior exposure to property management, real estate development, or retail leasing operations is required.
